Phil Szlosek began his tattoo career in South Florida in 2007. Starting out alongside Frank Lee, Scott Milyonovich and Vince Moisdon, he eventually found a home at one of the most respected tattoo shops on Earth, Inksmith & Rogers in Jacksonville, FL. Gaining experience and tutelage from tattoo legends Mike Wilson and Angelo Miller. Phil spent his years there refining his traditional tattoo style and eventually wanted to expand his horizons, moving to New York in 2012 to join the ranks of the crew at Kings Avenue NYC, where he had the opportunity to further expand his skills and refine his style into a more unique and sophisticated one. Throughout his career, Phil has had the opportunity to travel and work throughout the US and Europe. His time tattooing in Britain, Scotland, Italy, and the Netherlands has given him life experience which shaped his artistic growth as well as his character. His illustrative abilities are highly advanced and his style in versatile and refined. In 2019, he co-founded Fountainhead alongside long-time friend Matt Beckerich. Thus, giving him the opportunity to further expand his already diverse style of black and grey, realism, and traditional American tattooing.
