Chopper began his tattooing career in 2007 as an apprentice at Atomic Tattoos. He was mentored by local tattooer Russell Widner. In the beginning of 2008 he was officially a full time artist. Chopper always believed that the essence of a true tattooer should be able to do any tattoo that walks in the door. He spent his career from then on focusing on learning as much as possible about all styles of tattooing. He is capable of doing anything from script lettering to a portrait, a traditional anchor to a full Japanese back piece. Lately he can be found tattooing at Atomic Tattoos in the heart of historic Ybor City, where he has been focusing most of his energy on the classic art of the traditional Japanese tattoo.
