About the Studio
Octopus Tattoo opened in Derby in 2007 when resident artist Gerry Carnelly, having established himself in Derby, struck out on his own. The studio moved and expanded in 2011 with the addition of further resident artists and larger premises. Today, Octopus tattoo had 4 resident artists with specialities in a broad range of tattoo styles.

Leigh Boardman is a great artist and person. He put me right at ease for my first ever tattoo and was incredibly efficient. At the end of it he gave me lots of advice on aftercare and during the tattoo we had great conversations about designs and our interests. Would definitely recommend and go back for my next one!
