Royal Tattoo

In 1983 Henning Jorgensen decided to move to Helsingør, Denmark where he founded Royal Tattoo in the shadow of Kronborg Castle. 400 years after the drama of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet”, Royal Tattoo has contributed significantly to putting Helsingør on the international map. Today, the business is still run by one of the founders, Henning Jørgensen. Royal Tattoo is housed in one of the small inviting streets of Helsingør, about a 30 minute drive from Copenhagen (and 45min by straight train). Royal Tattoo’s international reputation attracts visiting tattoo artists from all over the world. As testament to the high quality of work, many awards and prizes from competitions all over the world decorate the walls in the bright, friendly, nonsmoking environment. Work by Royal Tattoo has been featured in every major tattoo magazine and many of the in-house artists have won awards at international competitions around the world. Contributing to Royal Tattoo's status is not only the highly professional attitude towards the art of tattooing, but also the wonderful atmosphere. There is always someone ready to give advice and answer any questions you may have, no matter if you are a first timer or a regular visitor.
