I had the honour of being tattooed by the lovely Maria, who ensured that my first experience with getting tattooed was as positive as it could be!
Her design fully incorporated what I wanted, and she made a tremendous effort to make sure the meanings I had behind the symbolic tattoo were showcased. Even during the session, she communicated and made adjustments to make the piece the best it could be
Her care and compassion shined through even after the session, as when taking photos of the piece, I felt a bit weak being on my feet, so she made sure I was seated and more comfortable while taking the photos, compromising on what could have been better shots - this shows she really puts her clients wellbeing first.
Her detail of aftercare instructions was thorough, and she was so generous to even give me a small tin container of the same tattoo butter she used during the process to get me through the first day or two of healing until I could get more.
Despite my social awkwardness/anxiety, Maria felt like talking to a friend, and understood me being quiet or silent during the process, which helped me feel more at ease and able to relax as much as possible
Whether you're experienced with getting tattoos, or a complete newcomer, I couldn't recommend any higher than Maria, she really was amazing.
